How to make my Gluten Free Cornbread Apple Crisp with Krusteaz Gluten Free Honey Cornbread Mix:
Preheat the oven to 350 and grease an 8 x 8 inch baking dish.
Slice 5 to 6 medium green or red tart apples, and place in a medium bowl.
Stir 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 tablespoon of sugar into the apples.
Transfer the apple mixture to the greased 8 x 8 inch square baking dish.
In another medium bowl add the box of Krusteaz Gluten Free Honey Cornbread mix, ½ cup brown sugar and ½ cup of gluten free rolled oats.
Melt 12 tablespoons of butter in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
Pour the melted butter into the cornbread mixture and mix with a spoon until well incorporated, and crumbly.
Spoon the Cornbread mixture over the apple mixture.
Bake for 30 minutes until the topping is crisp and golden brown.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
